Poseidon wearily rubbed his forehead. Creases etched his brow, eroding away his youthful appearance like a river through soft stone over the years. The excessive waste and fighting within his aquatic kingdom would make anyone want to scream and rip out their hair. Speaking of hair, Poseidon stroked his beard that he was trying to grow out, with little success. Anyways, every time a ship blew up, or another person drowned in the ocean, he would be hit by an imaginary hammer on his already throbbing skull. Talk about a killer migraine. No amount of Advil, Aleve or PMS pain killers could help him. (PMS medicines are like pain killers on steroids, with double the bad after taste if chewed.)
Poseidon leaned back in his fisherman's chair, slowly swiveling back and forth. Perhaps getting sick from dizziness was better than the never ending assault. As he got nauseous, the pain in his head subsided, much to his surprise. With renewed vigor, he spun, enough to make any student or child proud. After two minutes, Poseidon stopped, on the edge of vomiting.
Suddenly, a bang went off in his head, compared to a hammer, this was like a wrecking ball plowing into his already and sore cranium. And, of course: he vomited.
*****
After filling the "chum bucket", Poseidon tossed it out the palace window. Sharks instantly swarmed it, and before it hit the sandy bottom of the ocean floor, it was empty. This effectively grossed the god out. However, this was not the main issue at hand.
What caused that blistering pain? It would of had to be something big. Too big for normal mortals to cause. Suspicion grew within him. He had to investigate. Poseidon got up from his throne and relaxed his muscles letting go of the tension and fatigue. Then he exhaled, dissolving into the water.

As Poseidon arrived at the scene under question, he was shocked. A large boat was crumbling, nothing new. However, green fire ate away at the boat, and its passengers. This was no normal fire: it was Greek fire. The flames were unrelenting. Poseidon transformed back into his human form, and moved the rubble, trying to find survivors. However, what he did find was disturbing and upsetting. A putrid yellow ash was floating about the wreckage- monster dust.
Poseidon concluded that this ship was attacked by monsters. Perhaps there was a relic or a person with a strong aura aboard. As Poseidon sifted through more scraps, a cry was heard from a few meters away. He immediately swam over to a crate floating by. He ripped off the lid and gasped.
A small, wet and bloody baby was inside. The baby was badly wounded, with a small knife imbedded in its stomach. The vessels around the wound were black with poison from the blade. Poseidon cradled the baby, preparing to travel to shore: the cold ocean water wasn't helping the baby at all. He felt the baby's life source waning, so he blessed the baby with some of his own power. The baby stopped crying and because she fell unconscious. The god rushed to the closest shore, at an unimaginable speed.

Almost tripping on the edge of the beach, Poseidon stopped, kneeling. The cloth that covered the baby was long gone, with only the god's body warmth to protect her from the whipping wind and freezing spray of the sea. (Yes, a freaking. naked. baby. Get over it. )
Even though the blessing helped the venom stop spreading, the infant was dying. It was surprising that she was still alive.
"ARTEMIS! I need help!" Poseidon called out to the night sky. Instantly, a flash of silver peeked from behind the trees along the rocky beach. A young girl appeared, silently walking towards the taller god. She was equipped with assorted knives, arrows and a beautiful bow. Her clothes were simple, but durable: perfect for hunting out in the wilderness. Her hair, a glossy shade of auburn, was braided and arranged in a classic Greek style, common thousands of years ago.
"What?" she asked, in a bored tone. When she saw the baby, she said with disdain, "Men. Poseidon, what poor woman did you rape now?"
"What would make you say that?" he asked, being thoroughly disturbed. "But no, this isn't my child. I found her in the site of a monster attack. She is wounded very badly, and I don't think she will make it, but her aura is ridiculously strong. It would be a waste to let her die."
"I know that!" she said angrily, but quietly. Artemis took the baby and clasped it to her chest. Artemis' eyes closed, and a silver glow flashed from under her eyelids. The light faded, and Artemis held the baby away from herself. When Artemis opened her eyes, so did the child. The child's eyes seemed to glow with a icy blue hue. She then grabbed Artemis' tunic and gurgled.
"What did you do?" inquired Poseidon. He stared at the baby's eyes in awe. Artemis sighed.
"You mean: what did WE do. We both gave her portions of our own auras." Artemis said while handing the babbling infant to Poseidon. She paced back and forth on the sand, leaving not a single print in the sand.
"So... She's almost like a demigod."
"Yes. She is. Now, I'll take her and she'll be a huntress."
"No! She can live with me in my kingdom." The two gods argued for an hour while the baby played with the Sea God's thumb. His finger dwarfed hers to an almost comical point. Eventually, they came to an agreement: they would give her to a mortal through an adoption agency. When she turned twelve, she would be taken to Camp Half-Blood. Artemis called Apollo, her brother, to transport the baby. When he came and took her from the goddess' embrace, the baby cried, shedding a single, shining tear.

So what if I don’t have,
A lot to talk about?
I shut my mouth and keep it,

You were sitting next to your brother Link and your friends, Leo, Nico, Piper, Jason, Percy, and Annabeth. You were all watching the fireworks on a picnic blanket. Leo was cracking jokes, Annabeth was lying on Percy, and Jason and Piper, who were behind Nico, were holding hands. Nico and you were sitting next to each other silently.
And what if I don’t ever want,
To leave my house?
Stay on the couch while
All my friends are going out.
Sure you were a little jealous of all the couples yo

Nico’s nerves were on edge. His first date with the girl of his dreams.

Artemis has a baby! Joking, joking. This is the beginning of your story of becoming (not being born) a demigod.
